naimoFUGITIVE CAPTURED December 18, 2014 –
The King County Sheriff’s Office says Nicholas Naimo was arrested on Thursday.

FUGITIVE WANTED IN KING COUNTY October 24, 2014 –
King County detectives are hoping someone out there knows where to find this man believed to be armed and dangerous and wanted for domestic violence.

Nicholas Naimo is accused of assaulting the mother of his child and then threatening to kill her if she called 9-1-1.

“Not only did he say he was going to kill her, but that he didn’t care if he would go to jail for doing so, and he threatened her if she called 911 that that would cause him to kill her, and he also told her that she better not be staying at home that night alone, because he was going to come kill her,” said Sgt. DB Gates of the King County SHeriff’s Office.

Deputies believe Naimo is in the Black Diamond, Kent or Covington area.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month — even more reason to get this guy off the streets.

WMW viewer tips help Puyallup police identify car prowler jailed in Oregon on unrelated arrest

PUYALLUPFUGITIVE CAPTURED December 8, 2014 –
Puyallup police say Washington’s Most Wanted viewer tips called into Crime Stoppers led to the identify of accused car prowler, Elijah Anderson.

Detectives in Oregon helped Puyallup detectives identify Anderson after he’d already been arrested and booked into the Clackamas County Jail on December 8th.

Puyallup detectives say the heat from Washington’s Most Wanted caused Anderson to flee to Oregon where he got arrested driving a stolen vehicle.

FUGITIVE WANTED IN PUYALLUP November 10, 2014 –
Car prowls continue to be a problem around Western Washington, but police in one city are hoping to identify at least one crook who was caught on camera.

“When I grew up, you could leave your car unlocked,” said Arlene Luton. “You could leave your house unlocked.”

She knows you can’t do that now, but she still never thought there’d be crime in her Puyallup neighborhood.

“You just don’t expect it to come out to your home, you know? This is where you’re supposed to feel safe. “

But a couple weeks ago, someone broke into the SUV parked right in front of her house. She remembers her dog barking that night.

“He was just growling just really bad, and we weren’t paying any attention to him. He kept walking up to the front door. I wish we had paid attention.”

Arlene lost a Kindle, some ceramic figures, and a car motor still in its box with its receipt. The next day, a man tried to return that motor to National Auto Parts. The store owner had a feeling something was wrong.

“She knew her customers,” said Puyallup police detective Mike Lusk. “So when she saw this particular part and the receipt with it, she said that’s one of my customers. This guy had a story that was his aunt and he’s bringing it back for her.”

When she found out the part had been stolen, she gave surveillance video of the suspect to police. They’re hoping someone can help them identify the man, who may be responsible for other thefts in the area.

Car prowls aren’t just a problem in the South Sound. In the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle, there were 87 reports in the month of October. Redmond police say they’ve gotten 21 reports in just the last week.

“You never know, it could be your neighborhood, it could be any neighborhood,” Lusk said. “It really doesn’t matter, it’s just a crime of opportunity.”

Arlene said she’s learned her lesson about leaving items in plain sight. Now she just wants the man caught, so he won’t steal from anyone else.

“He was apparently not raised with manners. He was apparently not raised with any values.”

Police say if this suspect is caught, he will face theft and trafficking charges, since he tried to sell back those stolen auto parts.

Accused violent armed home invader arrested by Kitsap County detectives

HAYDENFUGITIVE CAPTURED December 17, 2014 -
The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office says Hayden Armstrong-Nunes was arrested on Wednesday night after a short foot pursuit and physical confrontation outside the Rhododendron Apartments, 225 NE High School Road on Bainbridge Island.

Also arrested in conjunction with Armstrong-Nunes was his girlfriend, 24 year old Ruthanne Villarreal. She was taken into custody inside an apartment at the same location.

Following interviews with detectives Villarreal was booked into Kitsap County Jail for outstanding misdemeanor warrants of arrest, and on a probable cause arrest charge of rendering criminal assistance.

After a court appearance Thursday, Villarreal remains in jail on $26,500 bail.

Armstrong-Nunes was initially transported to jail for booking around midnight, Wednesday. Due to concerns about his physical well-being regarding possible narcotics ingestion, the suspect was taken to a hospital in Bremerton.

Once cleared by attending physicians Armstrong-Nunes was returned to the jail and eventually booked for an arrest warrant, issued Dec. 8 out of Kitsap County District Court, for burglary, 1st degree and theft of a firearm.

His bail was set at $250,000.

Additionally, he also is being held on a no bail felony warrant of arrest issued by the Washington State Department of Corrections for escape from community custody.

FUGITIVE WANTED IN KITSAP COUNTY December 12, 2014 –
The crime convicted felon, Hayden Armstrong-Nunes, is accused of makes him an extreme danger to every homeowner – a violent burglar willing to invade someone’s house and fight with them.

But the attack Armstrong-Nunes is accused of isn’t his only threat — Kitsap County deputies say he stole several guns during a terrifying home invasion near Poulsbo last week.

Deputies say Armstrong-Nunes got into a physical fight with the homeowner and got a serious cut on his hand. “The homeowner had drawn a knife and the suspect grabbed the sheath and then grabbed the blade from being stabbed,” says Kitsap County Dep. Sheriff Scott Wilson. “He fled the house at some point and time after this confrontation and ended up walking into a convenience store located down on State Highway 305. He asked to use the bathroom, went into the bathroom and got some paper towels to wrap around the injury to his right hand, needed a ride elsewhere to get out of the area. He approached a person who was pumping gas. Asked if he could get a ride, the person went ahead and said ‘yes’ and gave him a ride into Poulsbo.”

Detectives would like to talk to the driver of that small, gold car, and want to stress they are *not* considered a suspect.

Detectives think Armstrong-Nunes has shaved off his beard and large sideburns to try and change his looks and could be hiding anywhere around the Puget Sound area.

If you know where he’s hiding, call an anonymous tip into:

coffeeFUGITIVE CAPTURED December 19, 2014 –
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office says they have arrested the suspect accused of robbing two coffee stands on the Bothell-Everett Highway at gunpoint.

He was identified by Washington’s Most Wanted viewers.

The suspect is a juvenile but prosecutors may charge his as an adult.

FUGITIVE WANTED IN SNOHOMISH COUNTY December 12, 2014 –
An armed robber ordered a Hazelnut latte before pulling a handgun and demanding all the money in the cash register at Kemp’s Coffee in the 18800 block of Bothell Everett Highway in Bothell last Thursday.

One week later, Snohomish County Detectives say he robbed Calling The Shots, another coffee stand just down the road from Kemp’s.

Investigators are hoping someone recognizes his face from surveillance video.  It shows a young Asian man approach the window, order a coffee and then when the barista turned to make it, he backed out of the window and put on a bandana and distinct white sunglasses.  When she turned back, he had his backpack on the counter and was pointing a gun at her. He gestured with the weapon to get her to hurry. She put the money in his backpack and he took off running.

“I’m guessing that he may be living in and around this area in Bothell,” said Det. Collin Ainsworth.  He thinks the gunman may have been after drug money. “They are just going into where they think they can get in, get out, get some cash go to their drug dealer and get the drugs that they need because what they call it is dope sick.”

The armed robber is described as a young Asian man who may have escaped from the second heist on a bicycle.

The Pacific Northwest Fugitive Apprehension Task Force arrested Leland Linson in Redmond on Monday morning.

FUGITIVE WANTED IN SEATTLE December 12, 2014  –
Seattle police say if fugitive, Leland Linson, is not caught soon he could make good on threats to kill his ex-girlfriend and their children.

Seattle is one of four places he’s wanted in right now. He also has warrants in King County, Pierce County, and Tacoma.

Detectives say the terror Linson puts his ex through has been going on for far too long. “There’s a history of this guy doing domestic violence to his ex-girlfriend, including threats and texts to her saying things like ‘I’m going to kill you,’ says Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound. “In the last incident he’s down below her apartment building and he’s screaming up at the victim. She goes out to her balcony but she doesn’t look over because he’s threatened her in the past with a gun and what worries is her is if she looks over the balcony, he’s going to take a shot at her.”

Detectives say Linson’s ex-girlfriend has gone into hiding and fears for her and her kids’ safety.

PITT

FUGITIVE CAPTURED December 23, 2014
Prolific motorcycle thief, Albert Pitt, was captured by the Snohomish County Auto Theft Task Force on Tuesday.

The SNOCAT Task Force says Pitt tried to run and lie about who he was.

FUGITIVE WANTED IN SNOHOMISH COUNTY December 19, 2014 –
When Christopher Holbrooks’ sister woke him up in a panic because somebody was trying to steal his motorcycle, he rushed out the back door of his Everett home. “And all I see is the tarp that covers my bike, so I come back inside kind of frustrated at what just happened,” Holbrook says.

Fortunately a neighbor had called 911 and cops found convicted felon, Albert Pitt, at the back of Holbrook’s alley. “I was like this is a shocker, you actually get your bike back, you get him caught, you know. You actually get the guy.”

Even better, his motorcycle was parked right next to Pitt’s truck in one piece, but now broken. “What I am thinking is that he kicked or smashed it hard enough to break it forward. You can see where it’s cracked.”

Pitt was interviewed and arrested, then released pending charges.

SNOCAT Det. Terry Haldeman says bikes are disappearing again at an alarming rate. “We’re seeing a pattern so we need to find him on the current charges that we have and talk to him about some of these other motorcycles that are being stolen.”

Det. Haldeman says Pitt admitted to them he sells the bikes for drug money.

Holbrook keeps his motorycle chained to a post now in case Pitt or some other thief tries to steal it again. “Thieves, they don’t understand, you don’t know how much overtime I put in to get this bike, how much money I have put in extra to get it running. They don’t understand the time, they don’t understand the feelings you have towards your valuables. They just want to make their buck when they don’t understand how hard people work to get what they make.”

Albert Pitt is 37 years old and has a distinctive scar covering the majority of his left cheek.

robinsonFUGITIVE CAPTURED January 5, 2015 –
When I started Washington’s Most Wanted with our Crime Stoppers partners in 2008, we had to catch fugitives the old fashioned way. We put them on television and asked viewers for tips to find them.

Our first capture of 2015 shows how social media can also be a powerful force for good.

Take Tuesday night’s capture of Richard Robinson in Tacoma for example.

On November 8th, Robinson was a trustee at the Pierce County jail and was working in the kitchen area. As the trash was being taken out, Robinson took off from the kitchen and jumped a fence to escape.  He was being held in the Pierce County Jail for two counts of Burglary in the 1st degree, three counts of Theft of a Firearm, and two counts of Trafficking Stolen Property.

Crime Stoppers of Tacoma-Pierce County posted his photo and information on their website, http://www.tpcrimestoppers.com/.  A month went by and then the holidays passed. Still, Robinson was on the loose.

Monday afternoon, I posted his case on the Washington’s Most Wanted Facebook page and also sent out several alerts on our Twitter account, @Catchwmw. Later that evening, Crime Stoppers got anonymous tips that he was at a home on E. 28th St. in Tacoma.  Those tips were sent directly to Tacoma Police who followed up and took him into custody at 11pm with the help of a Pierce County Sheriff’s Department K-9 team.

He is now facing a new charge of 2nd Degree Escape.

Thank you to all of you who follow our Washington’s Most Wanted and Crime Stoppers pages on Facebook and Twitter.  You are truly making a difference!

FUGITIVE WANTED IN PUYALLUP AND BY DOC IN PIERCE COUNTY December 11, 2014 –

Alabama-band-bandit2CAPTURE UPDATE January 20, 2014 —
A serial bank robber dubbed the “Alabama Band Bandit” because of a hat he wore, pleaded guilty Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Seattle to five counts of bank robbery and one count of possession of a stolen firearm.

40 year old Michael Hardesty of Woodinville was arrested August 19, 2014, after King County detectives who were working the case say Q13 FOX News viewers identified the bank robber featured on Washington’s Most Wanted.

Law enforcement linked him to five bank robberies in King, Snohomish and Whatcom Counties.

When Hardesty is sentenced on April 23, both sides agree to recommend a sentence between 9 and 13 years in prison.

He was identified after the FBI released surveillance photos from the banks and dubbed him the “Alabama Band Bandit” because of a hat that had the country music band’s distinctive name above the brim.  He wore the hat in the July 11, 2014 robbery.

Hardesty pleaded guilty to the following robberies:

  • Bank of America, Martha Lake Branch, Lynnwood, July 7, 2014
  • Whidbey Island Bank, North Seattle Branch, July 11, 2014
  • Washington Federal, Bakerview Branch, Bellingham, July 18, 2014
  • Washington Federal, Lakeview Branch, Bellingham, July 25, 2014
  • Wells Fargo, Martha Lake Branch, Lynnwood, July 30, 2014Alabama Band hat

FUGITIVE CAPTURED August 19, 2014 –
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office says the man suspected of robbing at least five banks last month was arrested on Tuesday.

King County detectives who were working the case say Q13 FOX News viewers identified the bank robber featured on WMW that eventually led to his arrest.

Nicknamed the “Alabama Band Bandit,” the 40 year-old Woodinville man was apprehended by the Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force near 128th St SW and I-5 around 1 p.m.

Area law enforcement had been on the look-out for the suspect and earlier today a vehicle believed to be associated with the suspect was located in Burlington.  However, the suspect managed to evade authorities and escaped the area.

Meanwhile, the SCVOTF identified another vehicle associated with the suspect and located that vehicle near the 100 block of 128th St SE.  When the suspect arrived in the area, the task force attempted to take him into custody.  The suspect fled the area on foot, but was apprehended after a K9 unit tracked him to the 12700 block of 3rd Ave W.

A gun that the suspect threw during the chase was recovered.

The sheriff’s office says the suspect has been turned over to the FBI.

He was dubbed the “Alabama Band Bandit” because of the hat he wore during one of the robberies.

WANTED IN KING COUNTY July 26, 2014 —

Authorities are on the lookout for an accused three-time bank robber who’s wanted in King County.

Detectives say these photos were snapped during his most recent heist in Bellingham last week where he wore a Navy hat and had white/blonde hair coming out the back.

His hair was short and he wore a hat with the logo of the country music band ‘Alabama’ on it when he robbed a bank in Shoreline two weeks ago — just days after another heist in Martha Lake.

“This guy is going into the banks and giving a note letting them know it’s a robbery and then he’s threatening to shoot the tellers if they don’t cooperate,” said King County Sgt. DB Gates. “We know of at least one getaway vehicle that he’s used that’s a distinctive Nissan Pathfinder that’s blue and it stuck out because the whole hood of it was black. We also know he has a getaway driver in at least two of these robberies believed to be a white female.”

He also has scars on his left cheek. Three heists already and detectives are certain there will be more if he isn’t stopped.

The FBI is now offering a $5,000 reward for his capture.
