UPDATE July 30, 2015 —

SEATAC, Wash. — Less than 24 hours after Larry’s Aycock’s story aired on Q13 FOX News, one of two suspects accused of scamming the retired Navy veteran out of $3,700 is in custody.

Aycock hired them to dig up some old tree roots and smooth out the pavement on his driveway.

SeaTac Police knew the suspects were driving an old Pape’ Machinery truck purchased in Eastern Washington.

“A truck driver was at a motel in Fife, saw the truck the suspect was driving. All the decals had been removed and the truck driver recognized the license plate, recognized the decals had been removed and called Fife PD,” said SeaTac Chief Lisa Mulligan.

The tipster told officers, ‘You don’t mess with a Navy man.’

Chief Mulligan says the suspect was standing outside the truck police arrived.

“They used a finger print scanner to get his real identity,” she said.

Larry told police the man claimed his name was Pedro Rios.” Turns out, it’s actually Steve Ephram. He was wanted in Utah for fraud.

Steve Ephram

Police are still searching for the woman seen on video at a bank with Ephram cashing Larry’s check. Her name is Tina George. She’s believed to be with  her brother, Dino George. He’s wanted by the U.S. Marshals and is a convicted fraudster. Investigators think they could be driving around in a gold or tan GMC Yukon-type of SUV from the early 2000’s.

“I think it’s pitiful that people would take advantage of our seniors in our community and much less being a veteran, we appreciate your service,” said Josh Harris with Integrity Construction.

After he saw Larry’s story, he quickly offered t do the $10,000 in repairs for free.

“Be a couple days where we’ll jack hammer this all up. Rip it up, haul it off out of here. Form it up and then we’ll pour the concrete,” said Harris.

His crew is currently working on a church but plans to start construction at Larry’s home on Aug. 10th.

“Home Depot sponsors our non-profit side of our construction company where we help with projects so home depot and we’re gonna try to get one of our concrete vendors to help out a little bit,” said Harris.

Larry is looking forward to that day and feeling blessed.

“I’m just overwhelmed. I really am,” he said after giving Harris a hug who plans to take the widower to a Tacoma Rainiers baseball game.

Larry was married for 52 years but lost his beloved Kay four years ago on Easter Sunday.  He got rid of all the things in the house that reminded him of her because it was just too painful so Harris and his crew are also bringing Larry a new couch.

Meanwhile, SeaTac police  are encouraging any other victims to come forward.

“This is not the first place this is happened. It’s probably happened here again in SeaTac. If this has happened to anyone in the public, we ask that they come forward, call 911 or the SeaTac police department directly and we’ll come out and talk to them and get started on figuring out how to unwind that case,” said Chief Mulligan.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Tina George, Crime Stoppers will pay you a cash reward of up to $1,000. Call the hotline at 1-800-222-8477.

WANTED July 28, 2015 —

SEATAC, Wash. — SeaTac Police are looking for two suspects and warning neighbors to be on the lookout for a Pape’ Machinery truck being used fraudulently in a scam involving bogus landscapers.

Detectives say Pedro Rios and Tina George stole $3,700 from retired Navy veteran Larry Aycock after he paid them to repair his driveway. Tree roots are splitting the pavement, pushing it up and creeping towards his home.

“I was seriously thinking about how am I going to this done before winter when it shows up, right?,” said Aycock.

When Pedro knocked on his door and offered to fix it for well below what it should have cost, Aycock was skeptical.

“I asked him for his contractor’s license. you know what? I just don’t have it with me. I’ll bring it next time I come,” Aycock says Pedro told him.

After he says he gave him $1,000 for materials, Pedro and Tina returned.

“He said. ‘I need more material and I gotta get a whole load of it and they’re gonna ship it but won’t turn loose of it until they get the payment on it.'”

Bank surveillance video shows the two suspects cashing Aycock’s check. They never showed up to fix his driveway. Aycock is no easy mark. He spent 24 years as an electronics technician in the Navy, primarily working on Destroyers and Cruisers.

However, Pedro’s pickup truck looked legitimate. It had Pape’ decals on both sides and the tailgate. When he called the company?

“They said nobody works here with that name.”

The company released a statement says, “Pape’ Machinery is very concerned about reports of individuals allegedly driving a Pape Machinery branded pickup truck, and taking money from people to repair driveways, schedule yard maintenance, etc. and then not doing the work. The individuals using this pickup truck do not work for any Pape’ company, and the vehicle itself has not been owned by Pape’ for some time.”

Police say the white Chevy extended cab pickup truck was purchased in Eastern Washington. Detectives even have a picture of the license plate taken by a red-light camera.  It reads B78029Z.

“The problem is they never changed the title so the license plate still comes back to Pape who originally owned the vehicle,” said Jim Fuda with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound who is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information on the suspects whereabouts.

“These are the lowest type of fraud suspects because they prey on people that are elderly. This could be anybody’s parents or grandparents,” said Fuda.

SeaTac Police are certain there are more victims and are asking them to come forward. Meanwhile, Aycock is still worried about his driveway that he can’t afford to get fixed.

If you have any information on the case or know where the suspects can be found, call an anonymous tip into:

FUGITIVE WANTED IN SNOHOMISH COUNTY June 12, 2015 —
Snohomish County detectives need your help finding a prolific home burglar who just got out of prison last year and already needs to be locked up again.

Surveillance video shows Jason Mora walk into a pawn shop in Snohomish County.

He’s been convicted eight times for home burglary and is now wanted for another one in Arlington. “He kicked our victim’s door in and in the process he left us a nice little bit of evidence by leaving his cell phone behind.” You gotta love dumb criminals! Detective Glenn DeWitt with the North Snohomish County Property Crimes Unit quickly discovered the phone belonged to Mora. “I took a look into his pawn history and about a week after the burglary up here in Arlington he pawned a ring at the Smokey Point Jewelry and Pawn Shop right in Smokey Point in Arlington. And not just any ring — but a gorgeous tanzanite and diamond ring valued at $22,000. “I don’t think he thought that anyone would ever figure out that ring was stolen.”

Detective DeWitt knew there was no way Mora owned a woman's ring worth that much money so he started checking with other police departments. "It just so happens a Mercer Island detective responded and said ‘Yeah, I think that belongs to my victim.’"

Mora, who spent a lot of time pacing nervously back and forth in front of the counter, got $700 buck.

Now, he's on the run from the law. "Mr. Mora is on quite a crime spree right now so we'd like to get him into custody to avoid any more burglaries or jewelry being stolen or the like just because he is very active."

Mora is 5’6” and 130 pounds.

He has scars on his left calf and left forearm as well as bunch of tattoos including a naked woman and cartoon characters on his arm and letters on his neck.

Right now he has pending cases for attempting to elude police in Snohomish County with the burglary cases to follow.

FUGITIVE WANTED IN KING COUNTY January 20, 2015 —
King County sheriff’s detectives have released new video of the man near Covington who stole a truck and trailer with a 2-year-old sleeping inside. They are hoping someone recognizes him.

Hailey Cole was on her gated private property hooking up the trailer when the thief jumped in her truck. Her son, Tyson, was sleeping in a car seat.

“I have an 8-foot bed so I was 9 feet away,” said Hailey.

She is filled with a mother’s righteous anger that someone put her little boy in danger.

“I just kept screaming, ‘You have my baby, you have my baby!'”

The trailer almost hit her as the crook sped off through the gate.

“I don't care if he didn't know that my son was in there. I don't hold forgiveness at this point,” said Hailey.

She rushed inside and called 911.

Deputies found the truck abandoned in a yard about three and a half miles away.

Tyson was all alone and still asleep.

"You find out you have a kid in the back, you don't just leave him there,” said Hailey.

Investigators say the crook ran to a little strip mall outside Covington, where he was caught on surveillance video trying to talk people into giving him a ride out of the area.

While Tyson is doing fine, Hailey still worries about what might have happened.

"He could have been with me hooking up the truck. He would have been right here and he could have been ran over by my own trailer because someone took it,” she said.

OFFICESENTENCING UPDATE September 15, 2015 —
Saul Taylor is scheduled to be sentenced Friday at King County Superior Court in Seattle after recently pleading guilty to eight counts of second degree burglary and one count of second degree identity theft for his role in several office burglaries in Bellevue, Seattle and Bothell.

Surveillance video of Taylor was featured on WMW and tips called into Crime Stoppers led to his arrest by Bellevue Police.

Bellevue Police Major Pat Spak says, “The key to the arrest and prosecution in these cases was an observant citizen that recognized the suspect on TV and did the right thing by calling in. Without the trust and assistance from members of the community, our job would be much more difficult. We would also like to recognize our partners in the Seattle Police Department, the Bothell Police Department, the University of Washington Police Department and the King County Prosecutor’s Office Repeat Burglar Initiative (RBI) for their work with us in these cases.”

FUGITIVE CAPTURED September 24, 2014 —
Bellevue police say Washington’s Most Wanted viewer tips called into Crime Stoppers led to the arrest of Saul Taylor at his home in Seattle on Wednesday.

A judge set his bail at $40,000 on Thursday.

His next court date is set for Monday.

FUGITIVE WANTED IN BELLEVUE August 1, 2014 —
If you work around Bellevue or Kirkland, take a good look at this guy and make sure he isn’t hovering behind you when you head-in for work.

Police say he’s sneaking into office buildings and hospitals to steal people’s stuff.

“This guy is following employees into office buildings, and then taking electronics, laptops, and cell phones,” says Bellevue police Ofc. Seth Tyler. “We know he’s broken into at least four buildings this way. What he does is he follows employees up the elevator, then when they use their key card to access the office, he follows them in. If he’s not confronted, he walks around the office and will take these valuable items.”

Detectives say since May, he’s hit hospitals in Bellevue and Kirkland, and the North and South City Center Towers in downtown Bellevue.

Thanks to some smart employees he hasn't been successful every time. Watch the video and you’ll see one worker confront him as he tries sneaking in behind her and another woman who'd just keyed-in. He doesn't give up right away, but eventually took off. Ofc. Tyler says that woman did exactly the right thing. "It's important for people to realize that if you don't know who's behind you, you confront them and ask them what business they have there, and if they don't have a good reason to be there, notify your company's security department or the police department."

Detectives say the one time he almost did get busted, security confronted him, but he was able to jog off with a laptop under his arm.

He's bold and crafty -- like how he always seems to be talking to someone on his cell phone -- though it’s doubtful there's really anyone there.

Detectives say it doesn't seem he's going to stop until he gets caught. So, if you recognize this accused thief, or spot him trying to get into your office building or hospital, call an anonymous tip into:

FUGITIVES WANTED IN ISSAQUAH May 29, 2015 —
Issaquah police are hoping you can identify these three men who used stolen credit cards taken during a home break-in.

Detectives think they’re serial burglars targeting neighborhoods and already have two victims.

“It looks like they punched through all the screens on the bottom here and punched this screen out,” says burglary victim, Neal Mitchell. He was out running errands one morning when his neighbors started texting him. “They said are you expecting company? There’s a suspicious looking vehicle in your driveway.” A side window was left unlocked giving burglars easy access. “They started in my daughter’s room, actually flipped things off shelves and stole a piggy bank, so it seems that anything that had any value at all disappeared.” The crooks dug through every closet, stealing purses shoes and credit cards.

“There were two children playing really close to the house and a neighbor was there but they really didn`t care, they did the crime anyway,” says Issaquah Det. Diego Zanella. He says Neal’s family weren’t the only victims of these burglars: “I didn’t say anything. I just screamed right at him,” says a neighbor of Neal’s. She says she was shocked to see a burglar crouched down trying to open her doggy door. She says, “I’m still alarmed.” Surveillance video shows the man police believe was trying to get into her house. He was caught on surveillance cameras with the young man in the yellow hat and the guy in the red jacket using Neal’s stolen credit card. Det. Zanella says, “They pretended that they didn`t know each other, but in the video it`s clear that they whisper to each other, they do some hand signals, so it is clear that they know each other.”

Det. Zanella is hoping somebody recognizes them from the photos. In the meantime, Neal has installed motion activated surveillance cameras to keep from falling victim again. He says, “Anytime somebody passes in front of our camera we get an alert sent to our cell phone and we’re able to monitor at least a little bit of activity at the house.”

The first suspect is white with short brown hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt, jeans and a red vest and dark baseball hat. He was carrying a very large, blue duffle bag.

The second suspect was also white with blonde or brown hair and had a yellow and green baseball hat on backwards.

The third suspect is black, wearing all dark clothes and also a dark baseball hat.

They were driving a red hatchback and all are in the early to mid-20`s.

If you know who they are, call an anonymous tip into:

SENTENCING UPDATE September 23, 2015 —
Shauntel Raymur pleaded ‘guilty’ in a Snohomish County court on Wednesday.

She’s set to be sentenced next Thursday, October 1st.

CAPTURE UPDATE August 18, 2015 —
Shauntel Raymur, a.k.a. “The Birthday Cake Bandit” was arraigned Tuesday in Snohomish County  court on two counts of 2nd Degree Identity Theft.

Raymur pleaded not guilty.

Prosecutors argued she’s a flight risk and asked to raise her bail to $50,000, saying she has been living in Arizona since March and is facing similar charges there. Raymur’s defense attorney requested she be released on her own recognizance with a promise to appear in court.  Because the charges haven’t been filed with the court yet in Arizona the judge left Raymur’s bail at $5,000, but if she gets out of jail she is ordered to remain in Washington state and to meet with her attorney before her next court date.

Raymur is scheduled to be back in court on August 28th and her trial is set for September 25th.

FUGITIVE CAPTURED August 14, 2015 --
The 'Birthday Cake Bandit" was arrested Friday morning at a home on Smokey Point Blvd. in Arlington by Det. Margaret Ludwig with the North Snohomish County Property Crimes Unit.

Shauntel Raymur was located thanks to an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound from a Washington's Most Wanted viewer.

Det. Ludwig says a man in the home first denied Raymur was there, but then admitted she was hiding inside. Raymur had nothing to say as she was cuffed and hauled off to the Snohomish County Jail.

She is facing charges in Skagit County and in Arizona for allegedly breaking into cars to steal purses and laptop computers.

Raymur is WMW Capture #662.

Raymur is believed to be in a rental car.

She's charged with breaking into vehicles to steal purses and other items in Snohomish and Skagit counties.

Detectives have dubbed her the 'Birthday Cake Bandit' because she was seen on surveillance camera using the stolen credit cards to try to buy cake and cake mix.

FUGITIVE UPDATE April 3, 2015 --
Skagit County has joined the hunt for Shauntel Raymur and detectives say surveillance video from a school south of Sedro-Wooley shows her using something to break through the window of an employee’s vehicle.

Deputies say she stole a purse and a laptop.

She was driving a blue SUV and the whole theft only took about 30 seconds before she was back in her truck and driving off. "She's had three cases here in our county,” says Skagit County Chief Chad Clark. “One from the Sheriff's Office, one from Burlington and I believe one from Anacortes. This is a prolific person that we need to get off the streets because once they do it they're not going to stop until they get caught. She's not going to take a break now because she's been lucky this many times.”

Raymur was dubbed the 'Birthday Cake Bandit' by Snohomish County detectives for breaking into vehicles and using stolen credit card to buy fast food and cake.

FUGITIVE UPDATE March 27, 2015 --
Snohomish County detectives say Shauntel Raymur was recently spotted driving the white Nissan Murano you see below to the left. A photo of a similar Murano is next to it for reference.

Also, Skagit County detectives who saw the 'Birthday Cake Bandit' featured on the WMW last week believe she is the suspect in several cases they're investigating.

raymur new carWANTED IN SNOHOMISH COUNTY March 20, 2015 --
The search is on in Snohomish County for an accused car prowler detectives say is looking for moms distracted by their kids.

But, it's what she's doing with the stolen credit cards that makes this cases unusual and tonight detectives need your help finding the ‘Birthday Cake Bandit.’

You wouldn't know it from looking at the video of her shopping for groceries, but detectives say she’s a convicted burglar and the credit card she's using was stolen in a car prowl. "What she does is she will pull up directly next to the targeted victim's vehicle and either quickly break the window or reach in if it's unlocked and take the purse and then she's off,” says Snohomish County Det. Margaret Ludwig.

Det. Ludwig in the new North Snohomish County Property Crimes Unit recognized Shauntel Raymur right away. She says Raymur is targeting women with kids at places like schools and parks.

Victims like one mom who we'll call 'Karen' for her safety says the crime Raymur pulled left her in shock. "I was parked at my son's elementary school for morning kindergarten pickup and I got out of my car, walked over to the sidewalk, said hello to my teacher and walked back to my car and my purse was gone from my passenger seat."

Within 15 minutes detectives say Raymur was caught on camera was using 'Karen's' card to buy gas and food. "I would have rather given her $100 than have her take all my stuff, honestly."

"She likes cake, we found that out,” Det. Ludwig says because Raymur has tried to use stolen cards to buy cake mix and frosting at one store and a whole cake at another. This 'Birthday Cake Bandit' is now wanted in five separate felony identify theft cases in Snohomish and Skagit counties. "I've convicted her before in 2013 of burglary and here she is again,” says Det. Ludwig. “She's out. She's doing the same things again and it's not a burglary but it's still victimizing people and she needs to be held accountable for that."

Detectives say Raymur is known to drive a dark blue GMC Yukon with license plate AGG9261.

She's 5’4” and weighs 200 pounds.

FUGITIVE CAPTURED September 26, 2015 —
Terry Moser was arrested by Washington State Patrol and booked into the Pierce County Jail on Saturday.

FUGITIVE WANTED IN PIERCE COUNTY September 18, 2015 —
Pierce County deputies say Terry Moser wore a dark brown wig when he robbed everyone at an AutoZone store in Spanaway at gunpoint on September 9th.

“What makes this suspect so dangerous is that he fired rounds into the ceiling of the store during the robbery and as he fled he fired a round at an employee,” says Pierce County Det. Ed Troyer.

Photos below show the bullet hole in the glass of a vehicle outside the store that detectives say he hit with gunfire.

Moser sped away in a white 2004 Chevrolet Aveo and then as you see in more photos below, he crashed into a log in a wooded area at 173rd and B street S. when he spotted a deputy. He took off on foot and got away, but cops found some small bills on the floor of the car, a handgun, ammunition, the wig and his ID.

Det. Troyer adds, “This is somebody that’s been in prison before and needs to go back soon. There’s been a warrant issued for unlawful possession of a firearm because he is a convicted felon, robbery in the 1st degree and assault in the 1st degree so we want to get this guy caught.”

Moser is 35 years old, 5’8” and weighs 175 pounds. He’s got a whole bunch of tattoos including ‘Sureno’ on his chest and some pretty elaborate ink on his back that includes the Space Needle.

He is considered armed and dangerous.
